  1. Good idea, Pastor Michael^ A big problem in my walk is having the desire to know the truth but being too unwilling (or ashamed or whatever) to ask GOD to show it to me.

Hopefully, the tattoo deniers do not hurt your feelings. It seems clear, though, that having the same conversation all the time could get annoying.

But like your cruddy Tuesday earlier in the month, I look at these situations that find you sometimes, and I think that it is so cool that GOD trusts you enough to put you in front of these people!

Think about this: in our Relate group's study on Job, it hit me that it is probably absolutely factual that GOD has never brought up my name to Satan. It was a painful realization that God could not trust me to handle the problems Job faced. The difference between Job and me? Obedience? I do not know the answer, but clearly Job made a choice to be GOD's slave in a way I have yet to make.

That was a bit of a tangent, but all to say that I do not believe God would trust me even to handle the situations that you face, since I certainly never face any like them.

So coming full circle, every time you mention stuff like this, I get a little excited for you. And I hope that soon, my life will be such a reflection of GOD's love that HE will trust me to encounter such things too.

[The '^' from the first sentence of my comment is a Bill Simmons reference. It is the moderate punctuation between '.' and '!' in any personal message. It avoids the "ho-hum" and "overly excited" interpretations, respectively. Feel free to use it.]
